Investigation Committee Formed Over Burning of Xi Jinping’s Book

An investigation committee has been formed following the burning of the book The Governance of China at Manmohan Technical University.

Under the direction of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Nepal), a five-member committee has been established, chaired by the Assistant Chief District Officer.

The committee has been given a 15-day deadline to submit its report.

The incident has also drawn concern from the Embassy of China in Nepal.

The university, however, explained that the books were destroyed during routine cleaning and disposal of old and unused materials.
