Reports Claim Saudi Arabia Carried Out Secret Military Strike on Iran

Amid rising tensions in the Persian Gulf region, reports have emerged claiming that Saudi Arabia secretly carried out a military strike against Iran.

According to Reuters, Saudi Arabia allegedly conducted direct military action against Iran for the first time in late March.

Until now, no publicly confirmed reports had indicated a direct Saudi military attack on Iran. In recent months, the United States and Israel have reportedly increased military pressure on Iran, while Iran is said to have responded with missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and Gulf countries aligned with the U.S.

Reuters reported that Iran-backed groups had repeatedly launched drone and missile attacks on Saudi Arabia after February 28, prompting Saudi forces to carry out retaliatory strikes inside Iranian territory.

The report also stated that intensive diplomatic communication took place between the two countries following the military action. Analysts suggest Saudi Arabia, which has long depended on the United States for security, has recently begun adopting a more independent and assertive defense strategy.

Despite the reported attacks, both countries are said to have shown restraint to prevent further escalation of the conflict. However, diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran reportedly remain tense.
