“Actions That Bypass the Law Reflect Authoritarian Tendencies” — Sapana Pradhan Malla

Sapana Pradhan Malla has warned that actions driven by self-interest that undermine legal procedures and established norms signal authoritarian tendencies.

Speaking at an event on the occasion of Law Day, she said that dismantling existing structures in the name of change may serve those in power, but it disappoints people who believe in the rule of law.

Malla emphasized that tampering with legal processes under the pretext of justification reflects arbitrariness and is unacceptable for those committed to legal principles.

She also stressed that society must show courage, capacity, and commitment to resist any attempts that go against the rule of law.
