Bharatpur Begins Removing Unmanaged Electrical and Internet Wires

An organized campaign has started in Bharatpur to remove and manage haphazardly hanging wires on electricity poles in urban areas.

The initiative was launched after discussions between the metropolitan office, the district administration, and service provider companies.

According to engineer Suresh Bot, internet service providers have been actively managing their own cables, while municipal police are assisting in the cleanup process.

He stated, “Under the leadership of the metropolis, we are removing unmanaged wires and working to make the poles clean and organized.”

Acting Mayor Chitrasen Adhikari said that after coordination meetings with local authorities, service providers were instructed to remove disorganized cables.

He also warned that if companies fail to comply, municipal police will remove the wires themselves.

The campaign, which began on Baisakh 27, is ongoing.
