IRCCN Condemns US Military Attack on Venezuela, Calls for Peaceful Resolution

Kathmandu – The International Relations Concern Community Nepal (IRCCN) has expressed serious concern over the recent military attack carried out by the United States against Venezuela, stating that such actions violate fundamental principles of international relations and international law.
In a press release issued on Sunday, IRCCN said respect for territorial integrity, political independence, and sovereignty of any nation is a core principle of international relations. The organization noted that the use of force contradicts Article 2(4) of the United Nations Charter, which prohibits the use or threat of force against any state.
Emphasizing dialogue and diplomacy, IRCCN stated that international disputes should be resolved through peaceful means. It warned that unilateral military interventions risk undermining global peace, regional stability, and the international legal order.
The organization reaffirmed its commitment to Nepal’s foreign policy, which is based on non-alignment, the principles of Panchsheel, world peace, international law, and the UN Charter. It appealed to both the United States and Venezuela to resolve their bilateral issues through peaceful diplomatic channels.
Highlighting peaceful coexistence as the best alternative to war, IRCCN said the 21st-century world should move away from war, bloodshed, domination, coercion, and serious human rights violations. Instead, it called for international relations based on equality, mutual respect, and trust-based diplomacy.
IRCCN further urged major powers to abandon war and military aggression and to treat all nations as equal partners in a shared global destiny for the common future of humankind
