US Announces ‘Project Freedom’ to Secure Strait of Hormuz

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a new maritime initiative called “Project Freedom” to ensure the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Trump, the move comes after multiple countries requested assistance from the United States. He emphasized that commercial ships and their crews are innocent and currently at risk due to rising tensions in the region.

He stated that the U.S. will help provide secure routes so that vessels can operate without threat. The operation is set to begin on Monday morning.

Trump also warned that if Iran attempts to interfere with the mission, the U.S. would respond strongly.
