UML 11th General Convention: Final Results Announced for 72 Open Central Committee Members

Kathmandu, — The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has declared the final results for the open Central Committee member elections held as part of its 11th General Convention. A total of 72 candidates have been elected to the open Central Committee seats.
According to the official results, Pradeep Gyawali secured the highest number of votes, totaling 1,942, taking the first position. Padam Giri came in second with 1,517 votes, while Parvati Gurung ranked third with 1,497 votes.
Other candidates elected with strong votes include Devi Prasad Gyawali, Niraj Acharya, Damodar Bhandari, Devendra Dahal, Deepak Karki, Pashupati Basnet, Prithvi Subba Gurung, Pradeep Kumar Kandel Chhetri, Dharmaraj Rimi, Narayan Prasad Marasini, Padma Kumari Aryal, Pashuram Meghi Gurung, Pemba Lama, Narayan Bahadur Silwal, Vachan Bahadur Singh, Purushottam Paudel, Neelkantha Acharya, Navaraj Sharma Timilsina, Navaraj Goyal, Harika Prasad Nyaupane, Pushpajyoti Budhathoki, Nirmal Kumar Bhattarai, Prakash Thapa, Prakash Shrestha, Purushottam Nyaupane, and Dharmendra Singh Myal (D.N.).
The newly elected Central Committee members are expected to play a key role in shaping the party’s policies, programs, and organizational strengthening. Party leaders note that the elected group reflects a balance of experienced leaders and younger generation leaders, indicating a mix of continuity and fresh perspectives.
The 11th General Convention is seen as a step toward consolidating UML’s leadership and preparing the party for its upcoming political journey with greater strength and unity.
