Scooter Rider Killed in Tip Truck Collision in Banepa

A scooter rider has died after being hit by a tipper truck in Banepa Bazaar of Kavre district.

The accident occurred early this morning near the Nepal Telecom office area, where a tipper truck (Bagmati Province 01-004 Ka 3423) collided with a scooter (Bagmati Province 02-063 Pa 9189). The scooter rider died on the spot. The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed. Police have taken the body to Scheer Memorial Hospital.

Following the incident, the situation in Banepa has become tense. The truck driver is currently absconding. In protest, locals set the tipper truck on fire, and transportation has been disrupted due to demonstrations in the area. Protests are ongoing.
