‘Personal Event Registration Week’ Launched Nationwide

A “Personal Event Registration Week” is being launched from Wednesday across all 753 local levels in the country. The campaign has been initiated at the request of the National ID and Civil Registration Department Nepal to raise public awareness at the community level.

The campaign aims to highlight the importance of registering personal events—such as births, deaths, marriages, and migration—which are essential for legal identity, policy-making, and access to government services.

According to the department, awareness programs will be conducted throughout the week through schools and local organizations.

The department had already issued a circular to all local levels, instructing them to observe the week with various programs and activities.
