4.0 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Kanchenjunga Region of Taplejung

An earthquake struck the area around Kanchenjunga in Taplejung district early this morning. The tremor occurred at 2:47 a.m.
According to the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center, the earthquake measured 4.0 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was located near the Nepal–India border region.
The tremors were felt across several districts of eastern Nepal. However, there have been no reports of damage or casualties so far.
