Tufani Pizza Restaurant to Launch in Baneshwor with a Distinct Nepali Taste

Kathmandu: Tufani Pizza Restaurant, offering a unique blend of Nepali flavors, is set to launch in Baneshwor. The restaurant is being opened by a group of young entrepreneurs who have long experience in the restaurant and business sectors. Tufani Pizza will officially begin operations from Wednesday, Magh 28, near K & K International College in Baneshwor.
According to operator Madhav Kumar Nepal, Tufani Pizza will serve pizzas with authentic Nepali flavors along with burgers, Tufani Fried Chicken (TFC), Tufani wraps, espresso-based organic coffee, and a variety of fresh juices.
The restaurant has plans to expand in a chain model across the Kathmandu Valley as well as outside the valley in the coming days. Nepal informed that the Baneshwor outlet will function as a central kitchen, ensuring that the same signature Tufani taste will be available at other future branches as well.
Located on Chakkubakku Road beside the parking area of Everest Hotel, the restaurant has been launched with an investment of approximately NPR 5 million. “Our team includes experts in Nepali-flavored cuisine, professionals with long experience in the service sector, and individuals with strong financial backgrounds,” said Nepal.
The restaurant is a joint investment by Chartered Accountant Tika Karki from Parbat, Madhav Nepal from Nuwakot, and Manmohan Rimal from Kavre. Investor Tika Karki stated that the team decided to enter the restaurant business to contribute through service as well. “We have investments in various sectors, and believing that there is strong potential for investment within the country, we chose the restaurant sector,” he said. He added that Baneshwor was selected because pizzas with this kind of Nepali flavor are not easily available in the area.
Karki, who is also a Chartered Accountant, shared that premium food items will be available at affordable prices at Tufani Pizza. He noted that Baneshwor is home to many corporate offices, consultancies, and colleges, and the restaurant has been established targeting students and office-going professionals. Customers will also be able to place orders online through Foodmandu, Pathao, the restaurant’s own website, and social media platforms.
Investor Madhav Nepal has been working in the restaurant industry for a long time. He began his career in 2069 BS at Sangam Khaja Ghar and has experience operating Hotel View Point, Red Diamond, Burger House, and Syanko Kattiroll. The same team currently operates Syanko Kattiroll franchise outlets at 13 different locations across Kathmandu.
