Direct Bus Service from Beni, Myagdi to Delhi, India Launched

A new bus service connecting Beni, the district headquarters of Myagdi, to Delhi, India, has been inaugurated. Modern Era Tours & Travels and Srishti Transport Pvt. Ltd. have started the service, which operates from Beni Kalipul Bus Park through Syangja, Waling, Bhairahawa, Ayodhya, Agra, and finally to New Delhi.
The service was inaugurated by Beni Municipality Chief Surat KC. According to Keshav Prasad Adhikari, Chairman of Modern Era Tours & Travels, the bus service will play a key role in connecting religious and tourist sites in Myagdi and Mustang with India, benefiting both locals and visitors.
The journey from Beni to Delhi takes approximately 27 hours. The bus departs from Beni daily at 6:45 AM and returns from Sarojini Nagar, Delhi, at 4:00 PM. The fare is NPR 5,400 per passenger from Beni to Delhi and INR 3,200 from Delhi to Beni. The bus has a capacity of 45 passengers, covering a distance of 1,400 kilometers.
Previously, travelers from Myagdi had to first reach Pokhara to catch buses to India, often requiring overnight stays. Locals such as Susan Kisan from Bhardul, Mangalga Municipality–1, highlighted that the new service eliminates this inconvenience.
Chief KC mentioned that establishing direct transport between Myagdi and Delhi will also support tourism development. Indian tourists visiting Galeshwor Dham and Pulaha Ashram in Myagdi, as well as Muktinath Temple in Mustang, will benefit from this convenient service.
Krishna Prasad Paudel, Chairman of Srishti Transport, added that under the Nepal–India Friendship Bus Service Program, efforts are underway to extend the route from Delhi through the Kali Gandaki corridor in Myagdi up to the Korala border with China.
Over 100,000 Indian tourists visit Mustang’s Muktinath Temple annually. Transport entrepreneur Ain Bahadur Shahi noted that the new bus service offers a cheaper and safer alternative compared to taking trains in India, benefiting travelers going for employment, education, medical care, and tourism.
