Three Nepali films hit the cinema theatres

Kathmandu: Three Nepali films, Balidan, Maitighar and Hari Bahadurko Jutta were released on the occasion of Phulpati on Monday in cinemas across the country.
Although the common practice is to release new Nepali films on Fridays, these three films hit theaters on a Monday to coincide with the Dashain festival.
Of the three films, Maitighar and Hari Bahadurko Jutta received a Universal certificate from the Central Film Censor Board, making them suitable for all audiences. Balidan, however, has been certified PG, meaning moviegoers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a guardian.
Maitighar is produced by Rohit Adhikari and directed by Milan Tamang. With a running time of two hours and seven minutes, it features artistes Kedar Prasad Ghimire, Dhiraj Magar, Prakash Saput, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Shyamashree Sherpa, Yubaraj Lama, and Buddhi Tamang, among others.
Likewise, Hari Bahadurko Jutta, directed by Dipendra K. Khanal, runs for two hours, twenty-one minutes, and forty seconds. Artists including Haribansha Acharya, Swastima Khadka, Prakash Saput, Priyanka Karki, Harihar Sharma, Divyadev Pant, Kiran KC, Rajaram Paudel, Dinesh Kafle, Sita Neupane, and Kamalmani Nepal have acted in the film.
The action film Balidan, directed by Santosh Sen, runs for two hours and four minutes. It features Samir Bhatt, Saugat Malla, Arpan Thapa, Reecha Sharma, Kavita Rai, Hemant Budhathoki, and Prem Puri in major roles.
To mark the releases, the production units, along with the actors, visited cinema halls on Monday to engage with audiences and promote their work.
Multiplexes have scheduled shows from 5:30 in the morning until 11:55 at night. Among the three, Balidan has received the highest number of screenings, though the other two films have also secured favorable show times.
