Harka Sampang questions PM Balendra Shah on multiple issues

Harka Sampang has expressed dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Balendra Shah, raising tough questions through an open letter on issues including the Lipulekh border dispute, squatters’ settlements, and budget planning.

He accused the government of being inactive on border security, stating that Nepal failed to take effective steps when India expanded infrastructure through Lipulekh. According to him, merely sending diplomatic notes is not enough, and stronger measures such as multilateral talks, deployment of security forces at the border, and concrete diplomatic initiatives are necessary.

Sampang also objected to the demolition of squatter settlements, arguing that the government should instead prioritize disaster management and repair of roads damaged by floods.

He further raised concerns about foreign debt, the economy, budget formulation, and governance, urging the government to address the interests of all political forces and the public. He emphasized the need for transparency and accountability, calling on the government to provide clear answers to citizens.
