Over 350 Join UML in Jhapa as Elections Near

As the elections approach, the wave of leaders and cadres joining the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has intensified. In this context, more than 350 individuals from Damak-4 in Constituency No. 5 of Jhapa have joined the UML.

At a program held in Dharadhare Tole on Wednesday, they formally entered the party after leaving various political groups, including the Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa). The new members were welcomed by UML Chairperson and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The entrants stated that the region had witnessed development under the leadership of UML and Oli in the past, and they believed that no one else could effectively lead future development efforts.

Earlier as well, several Raswapa regional leaders and other individuals had joined the UML. Oli is the UML candidate from this constituency for the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.
