Election Commission Directs Parties and Candidates to Submit Manifestos by Falgun 3

The Election Commission has instructed political parties and candidates to publish and submit their election manifestos by Falgun 3. The directive was issued following a decision made by the Commission on Tuesday.

According to a press statement released by Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, political parties participating in the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21, as well as candidates contesting under the first-past-the-post electoral system, are required to submit their manifestos in accordance with Section 37 of the Election Code of Conduct, 2082 (2025) by the specified deadline.

The Commission has directed that political parties must submit their manifestos to the Election Commission, while individual candidates must submit theirs to the respective election offices. This instruction has been issued in line with Section 57 of the Political Parties Act, 2073 (2016).
