Gagan Thapa Visits Party Headquarters, Central Committee Meeting Scheduled

After being elected as the president of Nepali Congress in the special convention, Gagan Thapa visited the party’s central office in Sanepa for the first time.
Today’s Central Working Committee meeting is expected to formally announce him as the party’s prime ministerial candidate. A large number of party leaders and workers are present at the office.
Thapa was elected president during the second special convention held from Poush 27 to Magh 1.
According to Vice President Bhusal, the central committee meeting will convene after Thapa and other office bearers assume their positions. Following the meeting, President Thapa is scheduled to campaign in Sarlahi–4. In the previous election, he was elected from Kathmandu–4. He filed his candidacy via proxy on Magh 6.
