With this significant single-day increase, gold has reached its highest level ever in the domestic market, the federation said. The price of 10 grams of gold has been fixed at Rs 253,000 on Wednesday, up from Rs 244,085 a day earlier.

Silver prices have also gone up along with gold. On Wednesday, silver was traded at Rs 5,920 per tola, compared to Rs 5,880 per tola on the previous day. The price of 10 grams of silver has reached Rs 5,076, according to the federation.

The federation stated that fluctuations in the international market, changes in the exchange rate of the US dollar, and ongoing geopolitical developments are influencing the prices of gold and silver. Due to these factors, further volatility in precious metal prices is expected in the coming days.
