Mayor Balen Shah Visits Raswapa Headquarters After Resignation

KATHMANDU — Senior leader Balen Shah, who resigned from the post of Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, visited the Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa) central office on Sunday but left shortly afterward.
Shah arrived at the party headquarters in Banasthali for the first time and reached his prepared office, where he formally assumed his responsibilities. Soon after, he left the office.
Upon his arrival, Raswapa Party President Ravi Lamichhane welcomed him. Following news of Shah’s arrival, a large crowd of supporters had gathered around the party premises.
According to Raswapa spokesperson Manish Jha, after the welcome and office assumption, Balen Shah is scheduled to leave for Janakpur later today.
Balen Shah is preparing to contest the House of Representatives election from Jhapa-5 under the Raswapa banner.
