Gagan Thapa and Bishwprakash Sharma to Inaugurate Congress Special General Convention

Kathmandu — The Special General Convention of the Nepali Congress will be inaugurated by General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwprakash Sharma.
Party workers had been trying to bring Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka for the inauguration since early morning. A senior leader stated, “Despite last-minute efforts, they could not attend, so the General Secretaries will inaugurate the event.”
Ahead of the inauguration, party supporters held rallies and chants in favor of the convention, marching from Kupandol in Lalitpur and Sundhara, Ratnapark, Padmakanya Campus Chowk, Shankardev Campus, and Kamalpokhari in Kathmandu toward Bhrikuti Mandap.
