Entrepreneur Vidushi Rana Files Proportional Representation Candidacy as Next Generation Responsibility

Kathmandu- Entrepreneur Vidushi Rana, Executive Director of Kiran Shoes Manufactures, has stated that her candidacy under the proportional representation system for the upcoming House of Representatives election is driven by a sense of responsibility toward the next generation.
Speaking on Sunday, Rana clarified that her inclusion on the proportional list of Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa) under the Khas-Arya women’s category is not a matter of personal entitlement but a responsibility for future generations.
“The proportional representation list is not my personal right, it is a responsibility. I am here to carry the voice of tomorrow’s generation,” she wrote on social media. “I have never pursued personal political ambitions; my identity is linked to industry, production, and labor, not politics.”
Rana also noted that she agreed to run for the proportional seat at the request of Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah. If elected, she intends to bring her experience in industry, employment, and economic issues to the parliamentary platform.
