Dr Nicholas Bhusal Hospitalised After Health Deteriorates During Hunger Strike

Kathmandu – Dr Nicholas Bhusal, who has been on a hunger strike for the past nine days demanding action on various issues, has been admitted to Bir Hospital after his health condition worsened.
Bhusal had been staging a hunger strike at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu. Following complaints of health complications, a team of doctors conducted a medical check-up at the protest site. As his condition required further treatment, he was taken to Bir Hospital with the initiative of the Nepal Medical Association.
Dr Bhusal has been demanding action against those responsible for opening fire during the Gen Z movement, the unconditional release of those arrested during the protests, a thorough investigation into corruption cases, and the guarantee of voting rights for Nepalis living abroad.
