Nepal registers historic win against West Indies

Nepal has defeated West Indies by 19 runs in the first T20I cricket tournament held in the United Arab Emirates.
Nepal restricted West Indies to 129/9 runs while the latter was chasing the 149-run target.
To restrict the opponent, Kushal Bhurtel took 2 wickets while Nandan Yadav, Lalit Rajbangshi, Karan KC, Dipendra Singh Airee and Rohit Paudel grabbed 1 wicket each for Nepal.
Navin Bidaisee’s 22 run was the highest for West Indies. Bidaisee hit 1 four and 1 six off 25 deliveries. Similarly, Amir Jangoo scored 19 runs while Keacy Carty and Ackeem Auguste contributed 16 and 15 runs, respectively.Likewise, Akeal Hosein and Fabian Allen notched up 18 and 19 runs, respectively.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Saturday, Nepal notched up 148 runs, losing 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Captain Rohit Paudel topped the score with 38 runs followed by Kushal Malla with 30 runs, while Gulsan Jha scored 22 runs. Similarly, Dipendra Singh Airee contributed 17 runs. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.
In reply, Jason Holder took the highest 4 wickets followed by Navin Bidaisee with 3 wickets. Akeal Hosein grabbed 1 wicket for West Indies.
