Sushila Karki appointed as first female PM

The former Chief Justice Sushila Karki has been appointed as the first female Prime Minister. Sher is also the first female Chief Justice. She was appointed as the Prime Minister by President Ram Chandra Paudel in line with Article 61 (4) of the Constitution.
Former Prime Minister, the Chief Justice, heads and representatives of various diplomatic missions have arrived at Sheetal Niwas for the oath-taking of the newly appointed Prime Minister Karki.
Earlier today, an agreement was reached between President Ramchandra Paudel, Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel, and representatives of the Gen Z to appoint former Chief Justice Sushila Karki as the Prime Minister and dissolve the Parliament.
Karki has now been appointed as the Prime Minister. The President’s Office has informed that the oath-taking ceremony will take place in a while.
High-ranking officials and distinguished personalities from various sectors have arrived at Sheetal Niwas to attend the oath-taking the ceremony.
