Rastriya Swatantra Party Candidate Balendra Shah Submits Election Expense Report

Balendra Shah, candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) who contested in the recent House of Representatives elections, has submitted his election expense report to the Election Commission. According to the submitted report, Shah spent NRs 1,417,289 on various campaign and election management activities.

The report details expenses under several categories, including public transport rental, air travel, voter training programs, ward-level campaigning, operation of election offices, production of campaign materials, and nomination fees.

Specifically, the report shows:

Transportation and air travel: NRs 293,000 for two vehicles over 15 days, and NRs 35,000 for five air trips.

Voter training program: 58 participants were involved, costing NRs 28,970.

Ward-level campaign (door-to-door program): Conducted in 29 wards with expenses of NRs 580,000.

Election office operations: Over a two-month period, NRs 120,000 was spent on water and other administrative needs, and NRs 22,820 on stationery and office supplies.

Campaign material production: NRs 157,000 for printing flex banners, pamphlets, and other materials; NRs 119,000 for stickers and additional promotional items.

Nomination fee: NRs 10,000 paid for registering his candidacy.

In total, all expenses add up to NRs 1,417,289, which Shah has officially submitted to the Election Commission.

The Election Commission mandates that candidates submit a detailed report of their election income and expenditure within the designated period after the election.
