Prime Minister Sushila Karki Urges Public to Be Confident Elections Will Be Held on Schedule

Prime Minister Sushila Karki has urged everyone to remain confident that the elections will be held on the scheduled date. She made this appeal while speaking to journalists on Thursday after inspecting the ballot-printing process at the Janak Education Materials Centre press.

Prime Minister Karki said the elections will be conducted in a single phase and asked the public not to worry about any delays or changes. Expressing confidence in favorable weather conditions across all regions during the election period, she said voters would be able to cast their ballots freely and without obstruction.

She also stated that once the elections are completed, the current government will hand over authority to the newly elected House of Representatives and return home.

“Please be assured and remain confident. The election will be held in a single day and will not be conducted in phases. It will take place on the scheduled date. I believe the weather will also be favorable, and everyone will be able to vote freely. After that, we will hand over the government to the elected House of Representatives and return home,” she said.

Prime Minister Karki further praised the role of election commissioners in ensuring that the elections are conducted in a clean, fair, and fear-free environment, and expressed her gratitude for their efforts.
