Twelve Leaders Resign from UML in Siraha

In Siraha, twelve leaders of the Nepal Communist Party (UML) have resigned from the party. They issued a joint statement on Wednesday, announcing their political departure.

The leaders who left include Province Committee member Pushpalal Pakhrin, former District Committee member Madhav Bahadur Budhathoki, intellectual and teacher’s organization Province member Bhim Bahadur Thapa, former District Committee member Dhanraj Yad, District Committee members Tulsi Prasad Upadhyay and Pramod Kumar Lama, former District Committee member Tej Kumar Lama, former Ward Committee chair Rajkaran Sah, Municipality Committee Secretariat member Ranjit Kumar Lama, Municipality member Tarabahadur Tamang, as well as Kiran Kumar Syangwa and Rajkumar Mahto.

In their statement, they said that although they tried to initiate reforms from within the party, the leadership repeatedly failed to address the issues they raised seriously. As a result, they were unable to continue in the party and decided to resign.
