Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier: Netherlands Set 141-Run Target for Nepal

Kathmandu — In the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier match in Kathmandu, the Netherlands have set a target of 141 runs for the home side Nepal.
After winning the toss at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground on Thursday, the Netherlands opted to bat first and scored 140 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Babette de Leede top-scored for the Netherlands with 49 runs off 47 balls.
Opener Phebe Molkenboer was dismissed for a duck, while fellow opener Heather Siegers contributed 13 runs.
For Nepal, captain Rubina Chhetri claimed two wickets, while Somu Bista, Pooja Mahato, and Riya Sharma picked up one wicket each.
With this chase, Nepal are aiming for their first victory in the tournament.
