President Ram Chandra Paudel Extends Greetings on Tamu Lhosar

Kathmandu, — President Ram Chandra Paudel has expressed hope that the celebration of Tamu Lhosar will promote tolerance and brotherhood among all Nepalis.
In his message on the occasion of the Gurung community’s major festival, the President extended greetings to all Nepali brothers and sisters, both at home and abroad, wishing them happiness, peace, and good health.
He stated, “This festival, associated with the ancient calendar system and lifestyle of the Gurung community, is believed to contribute to ethnic harmony, respect for diversity, and national unity in Nepal’s multiethnic, multilingual, and multicultural society. I hope it will also foster tolerance and a spirit of brotherhood among all Nepalis.”
Tamu Lhosar is celebrated with joy by the Gurung community in Nepal’s Himalayan and high-hill regions, marking the beginning of the new year.
The President further wished, “May the Tamu Lhosar festival strengthen mutual trust and unity, and energize everyone to advance the country’s progress toward economic, social, and cultural prosperity.”
