KP Sharma Oli Secures Clear Majority in UML’s 11th General Convention

Kathmandu, KP Sharma Oli has been elected as the chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) with a decisive majority in the party’s 11th General Convention. Oli secured 1,663 votes in the contest, while his main rival, Ishwar Pokhrel, received only 564 votes, reaffirming Oli’s dominance within the party leadership.

In the race for the post of General Secretary, Oli’s panel candidate Shankar Pokhrel emerged victorious, receiving 1,228 votes against 999 votes for his competitor, Surendra Pandey.
