NA Chair Dahal Departs for Geneva
Kathmandu: National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal departed for Geneva, Switzerland, this morning to participate in the 151st General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
National Assembly members Gopi Bahadur Sarki Achhami and Madan Kumari Shah (Garima) are also part of the Nepali delegation.
According to a statement issued by Ekram Giri, Deputy Secretary and Spokesperson of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Chair Dahal will address the General Assembly being held from October 19 to 23, representing Nepal. During the visit, the delegation is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with leaders of various national parliaments.
The delegation will also take part in meetings and discussions of the IPU Standing Committees.
The team is scheduled to return to Nepal on October 26.
