Top US Tech and Business Executives Join Trump on China Visit

Beijing/Washington: US President Donald Trump is being accompanied by several top American business and technology executives during his visit to China this week.
According to the BBC, the official US delegation includes Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Tesla and SpaceX chief Elon Musk, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, along with executives from major corporations including Meta, Visa, JP Morgan, Boeing and Cargill.
A White House official stated that a total of 18 American executives will join Trump during the visit to Beijing.
The trip is being viewed as highly significant amid growing economic and technological tensions between the United States and China. Trump is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping during the visit.
Other executives joining the delegation include Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg, Visa CEO Ryan McInerney, Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman, Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, Citi CEO Jane Fraser and Mastercard President Michael Miebach.
The inclusion of Micron Technology CEO Sanjay Mehrotra has also drawn attention. In 2023, Beijing restricted the use of certain Micron chips in critical infrastructure projects on national security grounds, a move the company said negatively affected its business operations in China.
Despite ongoing disputes over technology exports and semiconductor restrictions, the semiconductor industry remains central to US-China economic relations.
The delegation reflects a broad spectrum of American business interests, ranging from social media and consumer technology to semiconductors, finance and commercial manufacturing.
