YouTuber Arrested in Panchthar for Abusive Content Against Prime Minister and Leaders

A man has been arrested in Panchthar District for allegedly broadcasting abusive and insulting content on YouTube targeting Prime Minister Balendra Shah and other leaders.
The arrested individual is YouTuber Roshan Pokharel, a resident of Phalgunanda Rural Municipality–7 in Panchthar. He was apprehended by the District Police Office Panchthar based on an investigation conducted by the Nepal Police Cyber Bureau.
According to DSP Anish Karn, chief of the District Police Office Panchthar, Pokharel has been taken into custody and, with permission from the District Court Panchthar, his detention has been extended by 10 days for further investigation under cybercrime charges.
