First Parliamentary Session Begins under DP Aryal’s Leadership

The first session of Parliament under the leadership of DP Aryal has begun. The House of Representatives meeting has been underway since 1 PM at the Parliament Building.

This is the first session following the appointment of DP Aryal, vice-chairperson of Rastriya Swatantra Party and MP from Kathmandu-9, as Speaker.

Aryal has officially started his duties as Speaker from today.

He held discussions today with the leaders of parties represented in the House regarding the parliamentary agenda. Following his selection as Speaker, Aryal consulted all parties on the upcoming parliamentary schedule and related matters.

The Secretariat of Parliament stated that the all-party meeting plans to discuss the formation of the Procedure Advisory Committee and the House of Representatives Rules Amendment Committee.
