RSP lawmaker Ranju Darshana on removal of political appointees

Ranju Darshana, a lawmaker from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, has said that thousands of political appointments based on a “power-sharing culture” have been removed all at once.

She stated that this move has increased the government’s responsibility even further.

According to her, the next step must be to ensure the entry of qualified experts through a merit-based, impartial, and transparent process. Only then can the decision be truly meaningful.

“Thousands of political appointments based on a ‘power-sharing culture’ have been removed at once,” she said. “With this, the government’s responsibility has increased. Now, by ensuring the inclusion of experts through a merit-based, fair, and transparent process, this step can be made meaningful in a real sense.”
