RSP Begins New Preparations for Local Elections

The Rastriya Swatantra Party has started preparations to make its candidate selection process for the upcoming local elections more transparent, inclusive, and merit-based. The party has sought suggestions from constituency committees across the country to develop a framework for candidate selection.
A central committee meeting held on Baisakh 7 formed a seven-member committee under the coordination of Bipin Kumar Acharya. According to party secretary RK Dhungana, a meeting of the same committee on Baisakh 14 decided to collect recommendations from all regional committees.
The party has instructed local units to hold in-depth discussions and submit practical and implementable suggestions. Based on experiences from the federal elections, the RSP aims to make its candidate selection process more scientific, credible, and people-oriented.
