Unauthorized Intermediaries Banned from Land Revenue and Survey Offices

Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Nepal has tightened rules to prevent unauthorized individuals (intermediaries) from entering land-related offices.

Following the directive of Minister Pratibha Rawal, a secretary-level decision has been issued instructing all survey and land revenue offices across the country to allow entry only based on valid identification documents.

The ministry stated that this decision was taken after complaints surfaced about intermediaries entering offices under various pretexts and gaining access to important documents.

According to the directive, unauthorized individuals must now be barred from entry, otherwise the head of the respective office will be held responsible. This measure is expected to allow service seekers to access services more easily by showing their own documents.
