226 Arrested in Four Days as Police Crackdown Intensifies

Nepal Police has arrested 226 individuals within four days as part of an intensified crackdown against hooliganism, middlemen activities, and public misconduct.
According to police spokesperson Avin Narayan Kafle, the arrests were made between Chaitra 18 and 21 during coordinated operations conducted across multiple provinces. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those detained.
The Nepal Police Headquarters stated that arrests were carried out across Kathmandu Valley as well as in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
Those detained include individuals involved in organized hooliganism, brokerage activities, harassment in government offices, and indecent behavior in public places.
Police have said the campaign will continue in the coming days.
