KP Sharma Oli Confident of UML Majority, Pledges to Lead Government

Bhaktapur: KP Sharma Oli, Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), has expressed confidence that his party will secure a majority in the upcoming elections and form the next government.
Speaking to journalists after casting his vote at Mahendra Shanti Secondary School, Balakot, Suryabinayak Municipality–2, Oli said, “UML will bring a clear majority. Even if by any chance we don’t, we will still emerge as the largest party.”
When asked about who will become the Prime Minister, Oli confirmed that he would assume the role, stating, “My party has instructed me to become the Prime Minister. When my party decides, the country follows. There is no doubt about it.”
Oli also criticized recent debates about “new vs. old parties,” calling them counterproductive for the country. He accused elements with no contribution of engaging in politics driven by hatred and revenge, which he said is misleading voters and creating unnecessary confusion.
“Selfish groups with no meaningful contribution are trying to destabilize the country through politics of hatred and revenge,” he said, emphasizing that such attempts are creating uncertainty among voters.
