Four Nepali Films Cross NPR 100 Million in Box Office Revenue

This year, four Nepali films have successfully grossed over NPR 100 million at the box office: “Unko Sweater,” “Jerry on Top,” “Paran,” and “Aba Bata Ama.”
Released in Baisakh, the Unko Sweater starring Bipin Karki and Miruna Magar earned a gross of NPR 114.1 million. Directed by Naveen Chauhan, the film has also been released on YouTube, where it continues to receive significant audience appreciation.
In Asoj, Sujog Gurung’s “Jerry on Top” joined the list of successful films, grossing over NPR 122.5 million. The film stars Anmol KC, Jasita Gurung, and Aanchal Sharma.
“Paran,” released in Kartik and starring Neer Shah, became the highest-grossing Nepali film of the year, earning NPR 178.4 million. Directed by Deepak Acharya, the film sold over 633,000 tickets.
Meanwhile, “Aba Bata Ama,” featuring Pal Shah, Vipana Thapa, and Pradeep Rawat, also crossed the NPR 100 million mark in gross earnings in Nepal.
