Labour Culture Party Chairman Criticizes Balen Shah’s Appeal to Voters

Hark Sampang, chairman of the Labour Culture Party, has sharply criticized Balen Shah, senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa), for asking informal settlers and disorganized residents to vote for the party’s election symbol, the bell.

Sampang compared this appeal to asking someone to run a bulldozer in their own home, implying it is self-defeating and destructive. Writing on social media, he stated:

“Asking informal and disorganized residents to vote for the bell is like demanding a bulldozer in your own house! It’s self-harm! Imagine what that person who claims to become Prime Minister has done in Kathmandu!”

His statement targets Balen Shah’s electoral strategy, suggesting it is irresponsible and disconnected from the realities of urban residents, and questions his suitability for national leadership.

This comes amid Raswapa’s active campaign, where Shah has been mobilizing support across urban areas ahead of the upcoming elections.
