UML central committee to have 301 members

Kathmandu, – A central committee meeting of the CPN (UML) before the start of the closed door session of the party’s 11th National Congress decided to constitute 301-member central committee as of before.

UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli shared the decision. Although senior vice-chairperson Ishwor Pokharel, among others, has demanded not to make any change to the issues passed by the party’s Statute convention, the majority had decided to maintain in accordance with 10th National Congress.

Inaugurating the meeting, Chair Oli stressed that the presence of party’s cadres, in big numbers, in the inaugural ceremony of 11th National Congress has confirmed the legitimacy of political parties in the country.

In the central committee meeting, General-Secretary Shankar Pokhrel presented election schedule, code of conduct and contemporary agendas to be presented in the closed door session.
