22 injured in road accident in Dang

Dang, – A total of 22 passengers were injured in a road accident that took place at Kaudiyapul in Lamahi Municipality-1 along the East-West Highway. The accident took place this morning when a passenger bus (Na 8 Kha 7455) was heading from Dadeldhura to Kathmandu.
According to Police Inspector Roshan Raj Pandey of the Ward Police Office in Lamahi, the bus fell from the bridge into the river. The injured have been rescued and taken to Lamahi Hospital with the help of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army and locals.
There were a total of 38 passengers on the bus, police said. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
