  • Dedicated programs and faculty support international students effectively.
  • Nepali students receive personalized guidance and enjoy a one-stop support system.
  • Prospective students are encouraged to prepare academically and culturally for a successful experience in Korea.

Gangseo University is one of the most well-established and preferred universities in Korea. Could you tell Nepali students more about it?

Gangseo University was founded in 1958, and this year marks its 67th anniversary. Over the decades, the university has been committed to student-centered education. In 2023, we launched a program specifically for international students, including Nepali students. Our focus on personalized learning, academic excellence, and cultural inclusivity has made Gangseo University a popular choice for students worldwide.

There are many universities in Korea. Why should students choose Gangseo University?

We have a dedicated Department for Foreigner Studies, which offers a curriculum tailored for international students. Our faculty members come from diverse cultural backgrounds, enabling them to understand and support students effectively. Additionally, our prime location in Seoul provides easy access to the city’s resources and opportunities, enriching both academic and cultural experiences.

What programs or majors are available for international students like Nepali students?

The Department for Foreigner Studies focuses on two main majors: Global Management and AI-based Management. Students can also pursue other programs, including theology, G2 Big Data Management, social work, and food nutrition. While these two majors are our primary focus, students have the flexibility to explore additional areas according to their interests and career goals.

Could you describe the admission requirements for Gangseo University?

Applicants for 2025 must have a GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. Proficiency in English is required, typically demonstrated with an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher. Knowledge of Korean through the TOPIK exam is an added advantage but not mandatory. Meeting these requirements ensures eligibility for admission.

How has the experience been for Nepali students currently studying at Gangseo University?

Nepali students have given very positive feedback. They value the close relationship with faculty members, which allows them to seek guidance whenever needed. They also appreciate our one-stop service system, where all academic and personal support services are centralized, making their transition to life abroad smoother.

How enthusiastic and prepared did you find the applicants who want to study in Korea?

I was impressed by their educational backgrounds and their curiosity about studying at Gangseo University. They were well-prepared, knowledgeable about the university, and highly enthusiastic about their future academic journey.

Do you have any partner agency in Nepal?

Yes, we collaborate with SD Miracle. They are professional and dedicated, guiding students through the application process and providing comprehensive support.

What message would you like to give Nepali students planning to study in Korea?

Studying abroad is a life-changing decision. Students should approach it with preparation, dedication, and an openness to new experiences. At Gangseo University, we are fully prepared to support international students, but students themselves must commit to working hard and embracing both academic and cultural opportunities.

Is there anything else you would like to share with Nepali students?

I warmly welcome students to join Gangseo University. Many of our international students are from Nepal, and they are performing exceptionally well. Nepali students should feel proud and approach their studies with confidence and enthusiasm. We look forward to supporting them throughout their academic journey.
