NEA Board of Directors decides to recover arrears of dedicated and trunk lines

Kathmandu- The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Board of Directors has decided to recover the outstanding arrears owed by industries and public entities for their use of dedicated and trunk lines.
The meeting of the Board of Directors convened on Friday has made this decision.
Earlier, a review committee dismissed industrialists’ claim as unfounded. Hence, the NEA has decided to recover the outstanding dues, a member privy to the meeting said.
After being appointed as the Energy Minister, Minister Kulman Ghising had decided to recover the power dues of dedicated and trunk lines.

According to NEA, approximately Rs 25 billion in power dues is yet to be recovered from various industries and public entities.
