South Korea NOC Protest

May 6, 2025 Kathmandu,
According to the decision of the Foreign Study Permission Branch of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology of the Government of Nepal dated 31st of Chaitra, 2081 (April 13, 2025), the issuance of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for students intending to pursue higher education in South Korea has been halted.

In this context, thousands of affected students and parents have staged a protest in front of the Foreign Study Permission Branch in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, demanding the immediate resumption of the No Objection Certificate (NOC). The protest began today at 9 AM.
