Dhol Prasad Aryal Elected Speaker Unopposed

Dhol Prasad Aryal, a Member of Parliament from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, has been elected unopposed as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The announcement was made on Sunday by senior-most member Arjun Narsingh KC, who was chairing the parliamentary meeting.
Aryal’s nomination for the Speaker position was proposed by Rabi Lamichhane and supported by Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, among others.Elected directly from Kathmandu-9, Aryal will now lead the proceedings of the House as its Speaker.
