Gen-Z Front Coordinator Rachhya Bam Urges UML to Avoid Violence and Destruction

Rachhya Bam, coordinator of the Gen-Z Front Nepal, has urged the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) not to engage in disorderly or destructive activities on the streets.

She made this appeal through social media in the context of ongoing protests demanding the release of party chairman K. P. Sharma Oli.

Bam noted that the incidents of Bhadra 23–24 had already caused significant damage to the country and warned that such situations should not be repeated. She suggested that if there are concerns about due process, they should be addressed through legal channels and proven in court.

While acknowledging the right to protest, she cautioned that actions such as attacking civilians, blocking roads, and setting vehicles on fire would weaken the country and erode the moral standing of the UML itself.

She called on the party to act responsibly and democratically, urging that disagreements be expressed in a peaceful manner.
