Deepak Khadka Arrested; Investigation Begins Over Burnt Cash Found at Residence

Deepak Khadka has been arrested for investigation into cash recovered from his residence.
Home Minister Sudhan Gurung confirmed through social media on Sunday morning that Khadka had been taken into custody.
The arrest is linked to an incident on Bhadra 24, when Khadka’s house was vandalized and set on fire during protests. Following the incident, partially burnt Nepali and foreign currency notes were discovered at the site. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the source of the money.
Earlier, the Department of Money Laundering Investigation had collected the remains of the burnt cash and initiated a probe.
Police have stated that further investigation into the case is ongoing.
