KP Sharma Oli Criticizes Opposition Leaders, Calls for Protection of Election Process

Nepali Congress leader and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has criticized leaders he claims are unfit to govern, saying that those who cannot manage a municipality should not claim they can run the country.
Speaking at an event in Jhapa on Sunday, Oli targeted senior leaders of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, particularly Balen Shah, stating:
“Someone who has failed to run a municipality is now claiming the responsibility to run the entire country? To become Prime Minister? Is this a joke? Is this country someone’s laboratory?”
Oli emphasized that it is now time to restore peace and protect the nation. He accused opposition parties of attempting to disrupt the electoral process while the Nepali Congress prepares for victory.
He further claimed that opposition groups have burned party flags and engaged in undesirable activities to spoil the election environment, adding that disrespecting the party flag constitutes a crime against the election.
